So, here are some links going around the blogosphere that point to a Gamestop Gears of War 2 event this weekend.

According to these articles, along with others…this is how its going down.  On the 25th, after closing Gamestop’s nationwide will go into the Gears of War 2 After Dark event.  Said to be similar to the Gears of War After Dark event back in 2006.

Some exclusive videos will be played and from there it’s a 1v1 single elimination tournament for some in-store prizes.  Sounds cool, eh?

The fact that I’ve yet to see anything from Gamestop, and after calling my local Gamestop who seemed a bit clueless…this is still a rumour.
